Drs. Johnson and Fontenot Volunteered at Louisiana Mobile Clinic Event

VSP Eyes of Hope hosts mobile clinic event in Louisiana 20 years after Hurricane Katrina

|

In honor of the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which inspired the launch of the VSP Eyes of Hope mobile clinics, VSP partnered with the Optometry Association of Louisiana (OAL) and Louisiana Senator Gerald Boudreaux to host an event in Lafayette, LA.

VSP Board Member Jarrett Johnson, OD, MPH, and Louisiana Ambassador Shane Fontenot, OD, were among the 20 doctors who volunteered to provide free eye care to more than 300 patients. OAL Executive Director Robert Janot, OD, expressed his gratitude to VSP for the successful event.

Since 1997, in collaboration with VSP network doctors, VSP Vision Eyes of Hope has provided no-cost vision care to more than 4 million people in need.

Thank you to Drs. Johnson and Fontenot for your generous volunteer efforts!
